Irish drivers Josh Mc Erlean and Callum Devine will make their American rally championship debuts later this month when they contest the Dirtfish Olympus Rally.
Mc Erlean will be competing in his usual setting of the Hyundai I20 R5 while Devine who has Cavan navigator James Fulton on the notes will switch from the Hyundai to a Mc Kenna Motorsport Ford Fiesta R5.
The Mc Kenna Motorsport team is run by Monaghan native Barry Mc Kenna who is a former winner of the championship and recently debuted the latest generation of the Ford Fiesta World Rally Car on American Soil at the 100AW Rally. Indeed it was almost the perfect start for the Fiesta WRC as Mc Kenna took an early lead before a puncture dropped him down the leader board and he mounted a strong comeback to take 4th overall.
The Olympus Rally which will run on April 24th and 25th is the 3rd round of the American Rally association championship which is currently been lead by Travis Pastrana in the Subaru.
