Del Toro Wins Tour de France Stage 2 as Pogacar Climbs in GC
Mexico’s Isaac Del Toro powered to victory on Stage 2 of the Tour de France in Barcelona.
Del Toro, outsprinted his UAE Team Emirates teammate and reigning champion Tadej Pogacar.
Pogacar collected six bonus seconds at the finish, moving him up to second overall and reducing the gap to yellow jersey holder Jonas Vingegaard to just six seconds.
Belgian star Remco Evenepoel sits third in the general classification, 15 seconds behind Vingegaard, after another strong showing on the opening weekend.
