The Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross has a storied history with Irish sport with it playing host to a number of sporting events. While its closure a number of years ago came as a shock to the local community and wider area, the recent acquisition of the hotel by Dennis Mc Gettigan has seen it re-open and undergo a major refurbishment with plans now in place to once again host a number of sporting events.
Sean Mc Caffrey spoke to the general manager Gerard Hanratty who noted from the outset it was always a vision to take the hotel back to its former glory
