The Mc Elvaney Waste/Recycling Intermediate grade is one of the toughest competitions in the Monaghan championship with all 10 teams believing they can lift the silverware while at the same time looking to avoid been in a relegation battle. Aughnamullen, Killanny, Tyholland, Donaghmoyne and Clones make up Group A, while Balllybay, Eire Og, Monaghan Harps, Doohamlet and Emyvale are in Group 2.
