Funding for the Ulster Canal Project and the Sligo-Enniskillen Greenway are among the measures included in the July Stimulus Programme announced today.
In a statement to Northern Sound News, Minister Heather Humphreys said the stimulus commits to “progressing the next phase of the Ulster Canal by completing the feasibility of the design and engineering of the harbour at Clones”.
She also said work on the feasibility, planning and design works for the Sligo-Enniskillen Greenway is also included.
She said the projects will bring a major tourism potential once they are brought to fruition.
