A local TD says the Government should be more open with the public when it comes to the awarding of IPAS accommodation contracts.
Deputy Matt Carthy says the public deserves to know who is receiving so much of taxpayers' money.
The State spent over one billion euro on accommodation for asylum seekers last year, with even more expected to be spent this year.
