It is a genetic and long-term condition which affects learning and behaviour right through the school years and in many cases beyond into adulthood.

It’s also estimated to occur in around 3 to 5 percent of school aged children.
Our next guests Niall Greene and Emma Weaver originally began a group to support people with the condition and went on to set up Adult ADHD Northern Ireland.
Niall suffers from ADHD but was only diagnosed at 26 - he spoke to Anne Norris about his struggles with the condition on Tuesday (broadcast 24/10/2017)
