Calls for Irish Government to 'step up' over Dublin-Monaghan bombings. A local councillor is calling on the Garda Commissioner and the Irish government; to make important documents relating to the Dublin-Monaghan bombings; available to the appropriate authorities.
Cllr Sean Conlon put forward a motion at this week's sitting of Monaghan County Council. Indeed, this is ahead of today's anniversary marking 51 years since the atrocity.
Moreover, Cllr Conlon raised this motion in consideration of the "historical lack of accountability and co-operation" from the Irish Government; in providing investigation documents relating to the Dublin-Monaghan bombings.
