A Clones Councillor says public health advice was followed at the funeral of Bobby Storey.

However Sinn Fein’s Pat Treanor, who was part of the guard of honour in Belfast, said he can understand why people are concerned.

The DUP and SDLP have called on Michelle O’Neill to stand down as the North’s Deputy First Minister while police investigate alleged social distancing breaches at the funeral.

Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show, Pat Treanor the advice on attending funerals was adhered to and hasn’t changed.

The Sinn Féin President has rejected calls for Deputy Leader Michelle O’Neill to resign.

Hundreds of people showed up for the funeral despite a limit on attendance because of Covid-19.

Despite concerns about social distancing at the event, Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald doesn’t believe the party has anything to apologise for.
