Bawnboy's Tara Doonan is this year's Daffodil Day ambassador. A Co Cavan woman hopes that by sharing her cancer journey, she will help others who are going through a similar situation. Indeed, Bawnboy native, Tara Doonan, is this year's Daffodil Day ambassador. Furthermore, the school teacher is leading the campaign to say "thank you" to those she credits with helping her through the most difficult experience of her life. Diagnosed with breast cancer aged just 36, Tara leaned heavily on Irish Cancer Society supports. These included the Support Line and remote counselling. According to Tara, these supports are only possible because of days like Daffodil Day.
