Betty Murphy (nee Marron)

Tuesday, March 24th 2026, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by her sons; Austin and Gerard, her parents; Hugh and Katie Marron and her brother Gerry.
Betty was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Gene, her daughters; Sharon (Simon Ridley) and Yvonne (Seamus Martin), her son Justin (Áine Scanlon), her adored grandchildren; Olivia, Jonah, Ayda, Alex and Adam, her brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, all her extended family and her many friends. May she rest in peace.
Betty will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock.
Following mass the cortege will travel to Lakelands Crematorium for a cremation service. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Fund via their website or donation box in the Funeral Home.
