Cecelia Taaffe (neé Johnston) passed away on Thursday, August 21st 2025. Peacefully with her loving family by her bedside.
Pre-deceased by her husbands Thady Mc Nally and Tommie Taaffe, parents James and Mamie Johnston (Corfad) and all her brothers and sisters gone before her.
Remembered by her family, daughters Jacqueline (Woods), Louise (Paul Curran) and Úna (Garbhán Downey) and son Thomas (Toss) Taaffe, her cherished grandchildren Scarlett, Sinéad, Úna, Aodh, Fiachra and Brónagh and her adored great-grandchildren Páidí, Caolán and Bláthnaid, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her daughter’s home Louise and Paul Curran, Gallagh, Clontibret (H18P223) today Thursday from 4pm until 10pm and tomorrow Friday from 11am until removal at 6pm to arrive at St Patrick’s Church Ballybay for reception prayers at 7pm. Funeral mass on Saturday in St. Patrick’s Church Ballybay at 1pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
