Donal Shanaghy passed away peacefully on Thursday, 13th November 2025 at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family.
Will forever be missed by his loving wife, Marcella; children, Elaine (Neil), Donal (Orla), Michèal (Dearbhla) and Oliver; adored grandchildren, Erin, Senan, Odhran and Bobby; his sister, Margaret; brothers, Liam and Sean (Eileen); daughters in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Daniel and Nellie; his brother, Michael; and sister-in-law, Bernadette.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday evening from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12.00 noon in St Michael’s Church Potahee with interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery
