Fr Bernard died on Sunday 22nd June
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the Staff of Cavan General Hospital and College View Nursing Home.
Predeceased by his parents; Frank and Mary-Anne, brother Pat, sisters; Bridie, Maggie and Molly, and nephews; Stephen Smyth and Andrew Sergejew. Deeply regretted by his beloved brother John Francis (Seán), sister-in-law Bridget, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, his Bishop Martin Hayes, brother priests, former parishioners, and his many good friends.
May Fr. Bernard’s Gentle Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
Father Bernard will repose at St. Mary’s Church, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim (H12AK84), on Tuesday, June 24th, from 5pm to 7pm, followed by prayers.
Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 12pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
