Fr Michael Gilsenan passed away peacefully on Friday, 20th June 2025. Surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Predeceased by his parents, Bridget and Bernard; sister, Catherine; and brother, Brian.
Sadly missed by his sister, Teresa Doogan; brothers, PJ (Pat), Peadar (Ena), Eugene (Theresa) and Noel (Mary) (Portlaois); his cherished nieces and nephews and their families. Remembered by the sisters, brothers and secular branch members of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary; Fr John Cooney P.P, his Diocesan colleagues, the wonderful supportive of Clontibret, Cootehill and Maudabawn, Magheracloone, and his many friends and neighbours.
May Fr Michael's faithful and gentle soul now rest in peace in the arms of His Saviour, who he served so well.
Fr Michael's remains will be reposing at the Damien Chapel, Damien House, Tanagh, (H16 CA22) from 4pm to 7pm this Sunday, 22nd June 2025, with removal at 7.30pm to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Maudabawn for 8pm.
Requiem mass at 12 noon on Monday, 23rd June 2025 followed by burial in St Patrick's Cemetry Maudabawn.
