Friday, 27th February in his 94th year, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital in the presence of his loving family, following the care of the staff of Drumbear Nursing Home.
George McMeel (PatJack), Predeceased by his loving wife Peggy and infant son James Patrick.
George will be deeply missed by his sons; Eamon (Marie) and Malachy (Becky), daughters; Annamarie Woods (PJ), Roisin Carragher (Martin) and Kay Treanor (Mickey), Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, sisters; Annie Lynch and Bridget Quigley, sister in law Bridie McMeel, brother in law Tom McLaughlin, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, neighbours and friends.
George’s remains will repose at the family home Knocknagrave (H18 F991) on Saturday and Sunday.
Please note there will be a one way system in place, entering from the Knocknagrave side.
Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe (via Corryarabeg) for requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
