Gerard (Gerry) Mc Eneany passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. Peacefully in the loving care of his family, following a short illness in Cavan General Hospital.
Pre-deceased by his loving wife Monica, his infant son Graeme, his parents; Bernard and Mary, his 7 brothers and 5 sisters.

Forever missed by his sons, daughters, sons in-laws, daughters in- law; Madeleine (Ollie), Edel (Declan), Declan (Michele), Damien (Elizabeth), Brian, Gerard (Aisling), Andria (James), Joel (Louise), Lenora (Brian), his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; James , Aleine , Brent, Dean, Graeme, Kailey, Ciara, Danny, Connor, Kelly, Ciaran, Roisin, Caoimhe, Aoife, Seamus ,Connor, Joel, Sophia, Amira, Lindsey, Jack and Mick. Deeply regretted by his brother Column (Bridie) in Birmingham and his nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbours and friends.
Gerry will repose at his home, 11 Cathedral View, Monaghan (H18FV00) on Wednesday the 13th May from 11am to 8pm. Gerry’s family will walk alongside him from his home on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive to St Macartan’s Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s new cemetery, Latlurcan.
