Gerry Mc Cabe passed away on Thursday, February 19th, 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff in Drumbear Nursing Home.
Predeceased by his wife Pat, daughter Martina, parents Margaret and Larry, sister Eileen Bailey, brother-in-law Paddy Tierney and recently his sister-in-law Rosaleen Howard.

Loved by his children, Laurence, Liz (Gordy Mc Donagh), Gerard “Bunty”, Dympna (Gerard Murray), Donna (Noel Murray), Gary, and Edel (Colm Reilly). Remembered by his son-in-law Micheal Keating. Sadly missed by his cherished and adored 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Deeply regretted by his brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and all who knew and loved him.
Reposing at Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) on Thursday (19th) and Friday (20th) from 5pm until 9pm. Funeral procession will leave his family home on Saturday morning at 10:30am to arrive to St Macartan’s Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Latlurcan cemetery.
