Died Saturday 6th April peacefully in the excellent care of staff at the Intensive Care Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Dearly beloved Husband of the late Ursula (nee McDermott). Son of the late Kevin and Margaret McElroy.
Devoted father of Clíodhna (Joe Oguz) and adored grandfather of Ada. Loving brother of Anne Cadden (Edmund), Kevin (Bernadette), Jim (Patricia), Helen and Peter (Breda).
Gerry will repose at Swift and McCaffrey Funeral Home, Brookeborough Road, Lisnaskea, BT92 0LB, tomorrow (Sunday) from 2pm until 8pm and on Monday from 3pm to 7pm. We request that the family home remains strictly private during this very difficult time. Gerry will leave the family home at 10.30am on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am in Holy Cross Church, Lisnaskea, followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted and will be very sadly missed by Clíodhna, Joe, Ada, the McElroy and McDermott families and his many friends.
