Hugh McManus passed away peacefully on Friday, 22 August 2025. Surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of Medical one and the palliative care team of Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Agnes; brothers, Pat, Mick and James; and his son, P.J.
Forever missed by his loving wife, Josie; son, Hughie (Fiona); and daughter, Agnes (Les); his grandchildren, Cormac, Eimear, Farrah and Aodhgán; his sister, Mary (U.S.A.); nieces, nephews extended family, friends and neighbours.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore (N41TD62) on Sunday, 24th August from 4pm to 6pm. Removal from his home on Monday for Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Corlough at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
House private please. Family flowers only; donations in lieu of Hugh’s memory to Patient Comfort Fund, Coronary Care Unit, Medical One, Cavan General Hospital.
