Ignatius McAvinney died on Wednesday, 17th December 2025, surrounded by his loving family. In the excellent care of College View nursing home, Cavan.
Predeceased by his wife Iseult, parents; Sonny and Kathleen and sister Carmel. Deeply regretted by his sons; Darragh, Tristan, Shane, Desmond and Cian, brothers; Sean, Tony, Kieran and Noel, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.
Remains will be reposing at Lawlor funeral home (H14 R583) from 5pm until evening prayers at 7pm on Thursday. Ignatius will leave his residence at 10.30am on Friday morning, to arrive St. Patrick's Church, Drumalee for 11am funeral mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Mark Lawlor Undertaker or any family member.
