James Patrick (Jimmy) Smyth passed away on Sunday 8th February 2026. Peacefully in College View Nursing Home, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, parents; Violet and Terence Smyth and his brothers; Brian and John Tomas (who died in infancy)
Cherished and much-loved father of Christine (Gisele).
Sadly missed and remembered with love by his daughter and her partner Gisele and his adored and much loved grandson; Marcus. Remembered by his sisters; Ann (Mick Wylie, England) and Josie (Johnny Joel, Wales), nieces, nephews. Deeply regretted by his extended family, neighbours, especially Gerry Douglas, Teresa and Ruth, many friends and by all who knew and loved Jimmy.

Jimmy will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, (H18C962) on Wednesday 11th from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning 12th from Martin's family room at 10.40am, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery.
