Joe (Joseph) Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on Saturday the 31st of January 2026 surrounded by his loving family and in the care of the staff at Fairlawns Private Nursing Home Bailieborough, Co Cavan.
Predeceased by his parents William and Evelyn, his sister Irene and his brother-in-law Johnny Field.
Sadly missed by his sisters Pearl (Derek Cox) and Wanda (Eric Forde), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Resting at Mullens Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co Cavan (H16FD25) on Sunday the 1st of February from 5pm until 8pm.
Funeral cortege will leave the home of his Sister Pearl and Derek Cox on Monday the 2nd of February at 1:30pm to arrive at Kilmount Presbyterian Church (H16PF76) for 2pm funeral service followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to Kilmount Sunday School C/O George Hall Funeral Director or any family member. Cheques made payable to Kilmount Presbyterian Church.
