Monday, December 22nd 2025. Peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Beloved son of the late Paddy and Bridie Hayes, Rossa St, Clonakilty, Co.Cork and predeceased by his late wife Maureen and his brothers Michael (Skibbereen) and Jim (Clonakilty).
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Marian (Mc Glennon) and his children John (Emma), Antonia (Paul) and Richard (Averil). Fondly remembered by his adored grandchildren Conor, Oisín, Patrick, Amy, Aoife and Liam. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended famil. Remembered by his many good neighbours and friends, including those in the Department of Social Protection, Co.Cavan Camogie and various other committee's and voluntary organisations.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Saturday next (27th) from 6pm and concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday (28th) in St.Brigid's Church, Killygarry at 2pm, followed by internment in the adjoining Cemetery.
The Hayes family would like to thank the incredible staff of Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital for their help and support during John's short illness where he spent the last few weeks. Their kindness and compassion is sincerely appreciated.
