Wednesday 17th June 2026, peacefully at Oakview Nursing Home Belturbet, surrounded by his loving family and the wonderful staff of Oakview.
Liam McElgunn, predeceased by his brothers; Sean, Farrell & Jim and his sisters; Anna Timmons, Mairéad McDonald & Mary Rogers.
Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Margaret, his sons; John (Carmel) and Liam, daughters; Mary Agnew (Kieran) and Mairéad McHugh (John).
Sadly missed by his grandchildren; Jamie, Aaron, Laura, Conor, Andrew, Finian, Kian and James, his sisters; Bridie Connally (Lanesborough), Eileen McKernan (Belturbet) and Rosaleen Howard (Ballyhaise), his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Liam’s remains will repose at Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Belturbet (H14 R583) from 5pm until evening prayers at 7pm on Thursday 18th June. Removal from his residence on Friday 19th June at 11.30am, to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet at 12 noon for Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Drumalee.
House private to immediate family and close friends at all other times please.
