Mary (Betty) O'Neill (nee McCluskey) died on Wednesday, 4th March 2026. Peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Hugo, brothers; Eamon and Hugh and her sister Eveline (Murray, Monaghan Town)
Cherished and much-loved mother of Margo (Colman Donoghue, Furbo, Galway), Mary (Kieran McKenna, Newtownbuttler), Kathleen (Timmy Murphy, Castleknock, Dublin), Seamus (Rosalind, Glaslough), Imelda (Tom Beggan, Roslea), Gabriel (Deirdre, Tiernahinch, Clones) and Damian (Linda, Newtownbuttler). Sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters, sons, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law. Remembered by her adored grandchildren; Aoife, Dara, Emer, Shane, Mark, Ciara, Roisin, Ciaran, James, Aron, Ryan, Zoe, Stephen, Dean, Aidan, Gráinne, Tiarán, Killian, Cara, Kadan and Ethan. Adored by her great-grandchildren; Cian, Sophie, Sonny, Marshall, Lottie, Alexandra, Oliver, Charlie, Tom, Rory and Eadaoin. Deeply regretted by her sisters; Kathleen (Michael Lavan, Enniskillen), Vera (Peter Cosgrove, Isle of Man) and Ann (Tony Doherty, Tuam, Galway), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Betty will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, (H18C962) on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th from 4pm to 8pm. Removal from the family home, Tiernahinch, Clones on Saturday morning 7th at 10.30am, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Patient comfort fund, Cavan General Hospital, c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss or any family member.
