Mary Walsh (nee Poynton) passed away on Thursday, May 21st 2026. Peacefully in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents James and Sheila Poynton, brothers Danny, Patrick and infant James, nephew Seamus, niece Laura and her parents in law Michael and Eileen Walsh.
Dearly loved by her husband and best friend Gerry, her heartbroken children, Michelle (Brendan), Declan (Emma) and Kate (Gene). Sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Ryan, Sophie, Lucy and Declan Jnr. Remembered by her brothers and sisters Emily, Michael, Frances, Sheila and Mattie, brothers in law and sisters in law. Deeply regretted by her nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, her good neighbours, all her extended family and her many friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan followed by a cremation in Lakelands Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Palliative Care Unit at Cavan General Hospital via the link on the website.
