Oliver Galligan passed away on Monday, 18th of August, 2025. Surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital.
Former president of the Ulster Council GAA.
Predeceased by his parents John & Jane.
Sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Frances, sons; John (Breda), Oliver (Emma) and daughter Elaine (Peter). Remembered by his grandchildren; Caoimhe, Max, Charlie Bob, Ella Jane, Darragh, Patrick, Tom & Isabelle. Deeply regretted by his brother Sean, sister Kathleen and sisters in law; Áine, Carina, Irene & Mary. Missed by his nephews, nieces, all his relatives and many friends who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) Wednesday from 4pm until 7pm. Removal from his home in Kilnavara on Thursday afternoon to arrive for Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan for 1 o’clock. Cortége will travel to St Brigid’s Cemetery, killygarry for committal prayers and burial.
Family flowers only please, donations to CCU/Medical 1 Cavan General Hospital, any family member or donation box in the Funeral Home.
