Patsy Prior passed away on Thursday, 19th February 2026. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital after a short illness.
Pre-deceased by his wife, Eileen; sisters, Roseanne (Reilly) & Mary (McBrien); and his brothers, Frank, Jack & Peter.
Sadly missed by his sons, Peter & Patrick; and daughter, Regina. Remembered by his son-in-law, Barry; daughter-in-law, Karen; sister-in-law, Maureen McCabe; brother-in-law, Oliver (& Maureen) Kellegher. Adored by his grandchildren Jack, Matthew, Sophie & Danny. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & friends.
Patsy was the current president of the Aughawillan GAA Club and will be fondly remembered in GAA circles in Co. Leitrim and far beyond.

Reposing at Smiths Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62, this Friday evening, 20th February, from 6pm until 8pm and at his home in Aughawillan on Saturday 21st from 3pm until 6pm
Removal on Sunday morning, 22nd February, from his home, to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Aughawillan for Funeral Mass at 12:30pm.
Followed by burial in Aughawillan new cemetery.
