Ronan Gallagher passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026. Suddenly at Sligo university Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents Pat and Anna Rose and his brother Muredach (Dara).
Deeply regretted by his sons Padraig, Conal and Conor, their mother Valerie, sisters Bronach, Bláithín and Orlaith, brothers Padraig óg, Naithi, Turlough and Jarlaith, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
A film maker, writer, musician and proud Mohill man. Ronan lived a full and creative life. He was one of a kind – intelligent, imaginative, principled, funny, stubborn, generous with stories and always true to himself.
His songs, stories, films and memories will live on with all those who loved him.

Reposing on Sunday 7th June at his family home on Main Street (N41C9P8) from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
Removal from his home on Monday 8th June to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
