Seamus Woods passed away on Tuesday, February 17th 2026. Peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret, his parents; Patrick and Mannie and his brother Aidan and sisters and brother in law.
Dearly loved byhis family; Declan (Kathleen), Edel (Derek Donlon), Ursula (Jarlath Sheridan), Shea (Úna) and Elaine (James Gill). Adored by his grandchildren; Sarah, James, Dani, Dean, Tara, Amy, Kayla, Ciarán, Evan, Aaron, Adam and Josh. Remembered by his brothers; Michael, Frank, Christy and Brendan, sisters; Maureen Casey, Peg Duffy and Eileen Feeney. Deeply regretted by his brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family and his many friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Thursday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Seamus's remains will leave his home in Kinkeel on Friday morning at 11.30am and will travel to St. Brigid's Church, Killeshandra (H12DD79) arriving for a Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
