Valentine (Val) Maguire passed away on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital.
Pre-deceased by his loving wife Bernadette, daughter Jenny, son in law Gerry O'Brien.
Beloved father of Isabel, Garret and Nessa, devoted grandfather of Conal O'Brien and Gleb Maguire. Sadly missed by his loving, son, daughters, daughter in law Natalia, grandchildren, brother Kevin, sister in law, nephews, nieces relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Thursday, from 5.00pm until 9.00pm. Removal Friday morning, at 11.00am to the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan- Monaghan Palliative care, through donation box provided, or to Declan Finnegan, Funeral Director, or any family member.
