Existing infrastructure to be used as fibre broadband is rolled out in Cavan

Existing infrastructure is being used to roll out fibre-optic broadband to County Cavan.
Cavan town is one of two parts of the country that has seen construction begin on bringing the National Broadband Plan to people’s homes.

Priority is being given to local community “hubs”, which will provide free access to high speed internet in the rollout areas.

Killeshandra’s Connor Flanagan is CEO of Secto, which is working with National Broadband Ireland on the works in Cavan, and he outlined how they are planning to bring fibre broadband to the county with as little interference as possible.
