A local councillor says the decision to reduce capacity at Casement Park is a "huge positive" for Clones and Co Monaghan as a whole.
A study which was presented at this month's sitting of Monaghan County Council found that the Ulster Final generated €1.5 million for Clones, and €2.1 million for Co. Monaghan.
Cllr Richard Truell said the Ulster Final and other championship games which were held at St Tiernach's Park this year had a massive impact on the local economy.
To safeguard these ambitions, Cllr Truell says more money is needed to futureproof St Tiernach's Park.
Cllr Truell complimented Monaghan County Council which has played their part through public realm works, however he believes more money is needed from headquarters.
