Forecaster Gerry Murphy issues local weather report. A status orange low temperature and ice warning for 25 counties including Cavan and Monaghan started at 6pm tonight. According to Gerry Murphy, that warning will run until 11am tomorrow morning. Additionally, there is also a national status yellow low temperature alert in place until tomorrow night.
Furthermore, over much of the Northern Sound region temperatures remain well below zero creating widespread ice and patches of fog in places. Jodie Curran spoke with Gerry Murphy about what we can expect from the weather today and in the days ahead:
