Linda Sherlock's Mam Margaret was born in Bragan, Monaghan in May 1930. She trained as a hairdresser in Aughnacloy in 1945 and emigrated to Chorley Lancashire in 1951. She married my dad, who grew up in Scotstown and opened her hair salon 65 years ago. She is still there working today at the age of 91!
Linda has published a book about the work her mother has done and her life and is eager for the people of Monaghan to hear it.
