Over 120 drivers were seriously injured in road traffic collisions in Cavan and Monaghan between 2019 and 2023.
The latest data from the CSO shows that 67 of those were in Monaghan while 60 were in Cavan. The data also shows 14 pedestrians were seriously injured in collisions during this period in Cavan, and 23 in Monaghan. No cyclists suffered serious injuries from 2019 to 2023 according to the release.
In terms of motorcyclists, 13 were seriously injured in collisions in Cavan and 15 in Monaghan
