A mother who allowed her 16-yr-old learner driver speed at 141 km/h in a 100 zone in Cavan is to face court.
Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped their Audi jeep on the N3 between Cavan and Virginia on Friday evening. An investigation file has been sent to the National Juvenile Liaising Office, and a fixed charge penalty notice served to the young driver.
The mother has been charged to court for allowing the incident to occur. The vehicle was also detained to the Garda compound.
