Gardaí have arrested two men in relation to a burglary in Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan, on the 21st of April. The burglary took place at a residential property at Aghaloughan sometime between midday and 7pm. Cash was taken in the incident.
In an operation involving uniformed, detective and Drug Unit members attached to the Cavan area, search warrants were executed at two locations in Ballyjamesduff on Thursday, 1st May. Cash was seized and two men - one aged in his late teens, the other in his 20s - were arrested and detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. They have since been charged and are expected to appear before Cavan District Court this morning.
