28 people were recorded as being homeless in Cavan and Monaghan as of last month.
It’s an increase of 10 people on April figures according to the latest figures released by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
217 adults accessed local authority managed emergency accommodation in the North East region, which comprises Louth, Monaghan and Cavan, during the week of 19th to the 25th May of this year.
Of the 217 adults in the North East region being reported as homeless, 123 were male and 94 female.
Nationally there were 15,747 adults and children were accessing emergency accommodation in May of this year.
