31 people were homeless in Cavan and Monaghan in June of this year.
That's according to the latest figures released by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
It's a rise from the 28 that were accessing emergency accommodation the previous month and a significant rise on the 18 that were on the list in April of this year.
220 adults accessed local authority managed emergency accommodation in the North East region, during the week of 23-29 June 2025.
189 were in Louth, and 31 were in Monaghan and Cavan.
124 were Irish citizens; 38 were EEA/UK citizens; and 58 were non-EEA citizens.
Nationally, 15,915 people were recorded as homeless in June.
