Five men wearing hoods and armed with hammers broke into a house in Enniskillen during the night before realising they were at the wrong address. The men broke through the front door of the property in Kilmacormack Avenue at approximately 2;20am on Tuesday morning. They confronted the homeowner then realised they had entered the wrong house. The sinister-looking group of men then made off in a red Mercedes C-Class car in the direction of the Cornagrade Road.
Police in Enniskillen say that although the resident was uninjured during the break-in, they have been "left badly shaken by their ordeal". Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured CCTV footage to get in touch.
