A woman in her 20s has died after a three vehicle collision in Co Cavan.
At around 5.20 this morning, gardaí were alerted to the fatal crash that occurred at Derrygarra Lower, Butlersbridge.
The woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other women, one in her 30s and the other in her 50s, were taken to Cavan General Hospital.
Their injuries are understood to be non-life threatening.
The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination to take place by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
They're also asking road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
