The A5 road scheme is as much of an issue for the people of North Monaghan as it is for those living in West Tyrone or East Donegal.
That's according to Niall McKenna who is the current chairperson of the A5 'Enough is Enough' campaign group.
Just this week a legal challenge to the proposed 58-mile dual carriageway scheme began at Belfast High Court.
Over the past 18 years, 57 people have lost their lives on the A5 and these proceedings mark the first time that the families of those road victims have gotten the opportunity to put their point of view across in a courtroom.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Niall highlighted the importance of "cross-border relations" when it comes to getting road upgrades to the A5 and N2 over the finish line.
