The National Transport Authority have confirmed funding has been made available to explore the feasibility for the development of an active travel scheme linking Ballybay Main Street and the Town Park and schools.
The funding will allow for vegetation removal and surveying of the proposed route and this work has commenced.
On completion of surveys the scheme will be developed, and an option selection report will be prepared.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Sean Gilliland welcomed the funding.
