Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher has welcomed the allocation of additional Gardai to the Northern Sound region.
167 Gardaí were attested earlier today in Templemore and will now be dispersed across the country.
It has been confirmed that 2 additional Gardaí to will be allocated to the Cavan Garda District, 1 to the Bailieboro Garda District and 2 to the Monaghan Garda District.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Fianna Fail's Robbie Gallagher said it's "good to see" more Gardai coming to Cavan and Monaghan.
Senator Gallagher said he looks forward to the day that more are allocated to the area as it is "very much needed."
