Cllr Aidan Campbell is the new Cathaoirleach of the Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD.
He takes over the role from the outgoing PJ O'Hanlon.
Meanwhile, Aoife McCooey was named Leas-Cathaoirleach of the MD - she is also Leas-Cathaoirleach of the County Council.

She was proposed for the position by Cllr O'Hanlon, who said she has great enthusiasm for local politics and added that she has a good future ahead of herself.
And speaking to Northern Sound after becoming Cathaoirleach, Aidan Campbell noted that recently retired Mary Kerr Conlon had been earmarked for the position.
