Car parking in Cavan Town is now free at all public car parks in the town.
To support local business and encourage people to shop local this Christmas, Cavan County Council is making all off street parking (public carparks only) free in Cavan Town in the build up to the festive period.
These include the car parks at the Courthouse, Townhall, Main Street, Bridge Street, Connolly Street and the Multistorey Carpark.
To ensure adequate traffic flow the normal two-hour time limit will continue to be enforced throughout this time for all on street parking and off street parking, as set out in the Cavan County Council Control of Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws.
The free parking at public car parks in the town will continue up to the 2nd of January while free parking in all parking spaces including off street parking will begin from December 23rd up to the 27th of December.
