Almost 1,000 women waiting for gynae appointments at Cavan Hospital

Almost 1,000 women are waiting for gynaecology appointments at Cavan General Hospital.

That's according to the latest figures by the Department of Health.

Figures also show that women on the list have been waiting approximately six months for an appointment at the hospital.

On a national scale, there are close to 31,000 women waiting for gynaecology appointments across the country.
