Almost 1,500 property transactions completed last year

Almost 1,500 property transaction were completed in the Northern Sound region last year.

According to figures from the CSO, Cavan had the most completed sales in the region at 912.

This is followed by Monaghan at 528.

The total value of sales in Cavan was 180 million euro, whilst Monaghan's was 97.3 million euro.

234 sales in Cavan were first time buyers, compared to 115 in Monaghan.
